that said, props to admitting your an ***hat ingame, im sure your a wonderful (but likely egotistical) human being IRL. for what it's worth, i didnt vote for you; but ive got respect for what you've done.
he apologized and sent the guy 10.7 bil, if that's not good enough for you then lol |

Krixtal Icefluxor wrote:Unlike most of the EVE players who are posting, especially those brainwashed to GoonThink, the REAL WORLD TAKES THIS VERY SERIOUSLY.
CCP will unfortunately now have to insert certain rules into our Game.
no they won't you're dumb
Quote: Sony, known for it's campaign against cyber-bullying, is now in a perfect position to drop Dust 514 like a Hot Potato.
Yeah because they want to drop Dust, it's not important to them or anything~
Quote: THIS is exactly the kind of crap that kind of company will not deal with. At all.
did I mention you're dumb
Quote: Things will change unfortunately.
They absolutely will if CCP, no longer the truly independent free-spirit of the gaming world, wants to continue courting businesses like Sony and NVidia.
This kind of press to Sony: no Sir, they don't like it.
But then, when the mittani (I just can't capitalize it after this) brought the Goons over to OUR game, he said it was [b][b][b]with the intent to destroy the game for everyone.
OH NO THE MITTANI LOST YOUR RESPECT HE'S SURELY DOOMED NOW (except he didn't bring goons to "your" game, you can blame remedial for that, and he didn't say that either, ignorant dummy.)

Only 10.7b? That's not much.
it's over 100 hours of doing incursions (if you're just using a single account anyway)
I could barely stand to do 6 hours of that awful grind before I quit it forever, so I'd say that's a lot, especially considering none of this really hurt the "victim" at all, the guy profited immensly and should count himself lucky. |

I don't care if some depressed miner somewhere in the world did or did not commit suicide, and I fail to see what The Mitanni drunk-spewing words out of his mouth at Fanfest has to do with this man's mental state. Why is there a thread about this and not a thread about things that actually matter and are terrible, for example, the chaos and violence in The Gaza Strip? While I wholeheartedly believe we should all support the BDS movement I do not believe that the Mittani should get away with cyber bullying. I care not what the excuses are, Mittani turned up drunk at fanfest then spouted heaps of disgusting rubbish. As a lawyer he should know that being stupid and drunk are no excuses and in fact it makes this case even more severe because this fool knows the law. Thus him not only overstepping the boundaries but actually attempting to ruin the lives of the dearest and nearest of the person he encourages to take his own life is beyond sickening. Before anyone else jumps to the defence of this waste of space, remember that he is a lawyer.
He's more than atoned adequately by apologizing and paying 10.7 bil.
also get over yourself, buhu some miner got bullied big deal and someone drunk at fanfest ? shocking.
PS; he's a former lawyer |

I don't know what makes me feel sicker, the events at question or the CEO of GHSC going PL.
I was just correcting the guy I was quoting about the lawyer thing. Why should Mittani resign over something as trivial as this ? "victim" seems fine, and rich because of of Mittani's mistake.
Public apology, reparations... Seems excessive to me to expect more, 10000 people voted him in, and vast majority of them would sure as **** vote him in again if elections were held right now.
PS; Why does me joining PL make you feel sick ? lol |

Demarcus wrote:It is a matter of public representation. He was elected to represent ALL of us. He failed immediately and miserably. Stepping down would be just the right thing.
I seriously doubt the people who voted him in wouldn't vote him in again right now given the chance, they're the people he's representing and stepping down would be an insult to them as far as I'm concerned.
He had well over double the votes of the 2nd highest guy - that's why he gets to represent the community. |

Jade Constantine wrote:But what happened at fanfest had nothing to do with "the mittani" the character. It was Alex gianturkeyo ripping on some other player as the leader of Eve's player council in the view of the cameras in a performance that was immediately replayed and analysed by the gaming press.
He did it as himself, the leader of the CSM. And as you are seeing from the responses of genuine independent eve players in this thread - its simply not acceptable.
You're kinda full of **** since it was the alliance panel and nothing to do with the CSM, he was speaking as the leader of Goonswarm, not as the leader of the CSM, there's a huge difference.
PS; as a genuine independent eve player I consider his apology and 10.7 bil isk reparations paid more than enough to make up for his mistake |

I was there, and semi-involved with the first goon corps (griefing them for the most part) they were just another bunch of newbies making corps and playing a game.
once they moved to syndicate they were having lots of fun swarming and defeating older players, they loved eve
short time later they moved in with red alliance and TCF and became my close allies until I got kicked out of IAC, so I'd say I know more about them and their history and intentions than you do |

And howmuch did Goonswarm take in from Moongoo per month again? Makes 10.7 bill look like easy peanuts. Resign chair and work under someone else as chair. That seems fitting enough for me and wouyld be more of a lesson as how to act in public then he displayed at the Fanfest.
Yes of course the ISK amount is trivial to his corporation and alliance - doesn't mean it is to him as an individual and it most definitely isn't a trivial amount to the victim
considering how public and transparent goonswarm's finances are I see no reason to think it wasn't his personal ISK he sent to the wis - while you think it's fitting he resign not many of the people who voted for him would agree with you |

I'd still have to say that I think you should step down as chairman, Mittens. The only way that an apology from a goon can be considered heartfelt and honest is with a gesture as big as that...
He didn't just apologize he also sent the dude 10.7 bil ISK. |

It's an indicator that he's serious about his apology, not just trolling or whatever, and since the victim is perfectly fine he just got 10 bil without losing anything (apart from some mackinaws a few months ago) He wouldn't have sent the isk if he was just "screwing with people".
As for how morally bankrupt I am, I'm in charge of the Guiding hand social club, so lots ! |

It's an indicator that he's at least partially serious in his apology, not just trolling or whatever, and since the victim is perfectly fine he just got 10 bil without losing anything (apart from some mackinaws a few months ago) And if he killed himself then what would your opinion be?
Do you even read what you quote ? I was responding to whether one can take the apology at face value. You're going to have to clarify what you mean anyway - if he killed himself after he lost the mackinaws then Mittani wouldn't have been involved at all, if he'd killed himself because he got harassed after Mittani gave his name out then an apology wouldn't be worth much.
On the other hand most of the blame would go to the pathetic selfish loser that killed himself, not to big bad eve bullies. |
